I led my pony into the Boarder stables and looked around. It was really big in here! Henry pulled his head up, and I yanked it back down again. Sometimes if his head pulled too high he could pull the leadrope out from my hands, so I had to keep it down. I glanced back behind me to see where the owner of the stables was. There were so many empty stalls in here, and I didn't know which one belonged to Henry. Actually, all of the stalls were empty. There wasn't one other horse in here yet. I hoped Henry wouldn't get too lonely here.

I walked in leading Chance into the boarder barn. I wasn't sure how Henry got along alone or with other horses, So I figured Chance could come stay awhile. I looked to the girl. She looked a little confused, and kind of shocked by the barn. "You can lead henry over here," I said leading Chance into a stall close to one of the exits and motioned to the stall next to chance's.

I turned around and looked at the lady. She was leading a horse towards us. I smiled a little nervously, because Henry tugged his head and pulled towards them. The horse was a pretty palomino. I nodded to the lady and clicked my tongue, cautiously leading Henry forwards. I watched her put the palomino into a stall, and then I opened up the door next door to it. Henry walked right inside, and I unclipped the bright pink lead rope from his matching halter. As soon as he was free, Henry whipped his head up and down and stretched his nose around the front of the stall, sniffing at the other horse. I giggled, and looked up at the lady. "He likes making friends, but sometimes he gets beat up," I said to her.

Chance walked around sniffing a little, but cautiously. I don't blame him, he had been at the auction house for awhile and the stalls there were probably a bad thing. Here, they meant safety. Chance eyed Henry cautiously but hung his head down. I laughed. "I don't think you have to worry about that with Chance, his show name is second chance. Him and Luna were two of the worst looking guys at the auction house, Chance is mine now. I'm working on getting them back to health an training them. Chance wouldn't hurt anything after what he's been through, and he needs a friend right now, so they should be good." I smiled at Chance and he lifted his head and have Henry a long sniff before lowering his head again.

I smiled. "I think they're gonna be friends!" I said happily. I was glad that the horses here were getting a better life. Henry snorted and lifted up his top lip, then stretched his head out to me. I scratched him on the head and then watched him as he pawed at the ground of his new stall. "I think he likes it here," I said with a smile.

I laughed a bit. "Hopfully, that's the plan." I stroked Chance's neck and back, thinking about all the other horses out there that I didn't have the power to save. I was happy I could save Chance and Luna though, they were perfect. Looking over the stall door, I saw Henry and giggled. He actually did look like he was comfortable here already. "That's good, hopefully it will be his home for awhile," I said smiling.

I nodded and smiled. "It will be!" I said happily. I already liked this place, and I wasn't even scared that I would be living here without my mum. Then I nearly groaned. "Um...I should probably go outside to talk to my mum..." I said, remembering that she was still standing outside with the car. "And I have to get all of Henry's things!" I blew Henry a kiss and then jogged out of the barn and outside to the parking lot.

I smiled. "Great," I smiled. I was pretty sure she liked it here, which of course was a good thing. I watched her run out to the parking lot and remembered something. "Oh hey wait, need any help carrying the stuff?" I had to ask her mom if there was anything that I needed to know. I just hoped she wasnt an over the top and over protective mom.

I whirled back around as I hurried out to the parking lot, hearing the lady say something. "I'll be okay!" I said with a grin. I ran to the car, stopping quickly to tell Mum which stall Henry was in, and then swung open the back of the car. I pulled Henry's bridle out and slung it over my shoulder, and then pulled out his show-bridle with the fancy pink and gold sequined browband. I hooked that over my shoulder too, and then pulled out Henry's two saddle-blankets, one bright pink and the other black with hot pink satin trimming. I tucked them under my arm, and then heaved out Henry's all-purpose saddle. My pony had a lot of gear! smiled to the lady as I walked past her on my way back into the barn, and I put the saddle over the door of an empty stall so Henry couldn't chew on it. I laid the saddle-blankets and bridles over the top of it, and ran back out to the car again, to grab Henry's jumping saddle and his rug, and his two pink and purple feed buckets. I put them in front of the stall and then ran back to Mum and the lady, breathing heavily. "That's everything!" I said with a grin, tucking my brown hair behind my ears.

I stopped and smiled, giving a small shrug. "Alright, if you say so." I smiled and rested up against Chance's stall. He came up and nudged me with his head. I turned around and kissed him on the snout, and scratched him behind the ears. I turned and watched Miya bringing all of her tack, Henry's stuff, and a bunch of other things into the bag. She was breathing heavily when she finally finished. I gave a small laugh. "It better be everything, i'm surprised you carried it all on your own," I said. I walked over to a mini fridge inside the barn and got a bottle of water and handed it to Miya. Chance nickered and I turned around to see him sniffing Henry, more curious this time. I smiled. "Would you like to turn the out in the field before we put all of your stuff away?" I asked with a smile. I was already going for Chance's halter and lead rope. So far getting turned out is one of Chance's favorite activities. He loves the fields that go a little ways into the woods. He's still got some spirit and pride, and he was getting his energy back. I would have to start training him soon, he can't get use to the leisure life in the stalls. It seemed like some lesson horses at other places were like that, but here i'm gonna keep them working hard.

I grinned to her and then nodded. "Okay, Henry would like that!" I said. My pony loved being out in the field. He liked running around to play. I clipped Henry's leadrope to his halter and then opened the stall door, leading him outside.

I smiled. "Alrighty, lets go then," I said smiling and clipping the lead rope to Chance's halter. He seemed use to the halter and lead rope, so that was good. He nudged me a little and snorted. I pushed his head away and lead him to the field that goes into the woods, making him walk beside me. I turned to make sure Miya and Henry were following. I kept walking until we came to the field. Chance started prancing a little, something he hasn't had the spirit to do in a while. I smiled and made him stand still before going into the field, and then unlatched his leadrope. He started to gallop through the fields and shaking his mane. I smiled. He was actually kind of beautiful when he was happy.

I nodded happily and followed as she led Chance down to the field. Henry followed me, bobbing his head and neighing to Chance. I laughed happily. Once we reached the field, I grinned when Chance galloped away. "He's beautiful!" I said to the lady. I let Henry go, and watched as he took off after his new friend, his tail flying in the air behind him. "But not as pretty as Henry!" I giggled, watching my jet black pony gallop into the woods.

I smiled and nodded at the girl, and then laughed when she finished her sentence. I watched chance gallop to the top of a hill and rear, sawing at the air with his front hooves, and then land to the ground with a soft thud. He then turned and ran after Henry with a neigh.

I giggled, and then sighed in admiration when Chance reared. I smiled when he followed Henry. "I think they're gonna be best friends," I said happily. With a sigh, I realised I'd left my mum standing back at the trailer. "I think I better go say goodbye to my mum before she leaves..." I said. With a jolt I remembered something else. "Oh no! I left something in the car!" I tuned and sped back to the parking lot, hoping mum hadn't left yet. "Mum! Mum! Don't leave yet!" I yelled, reaching the car with a gasp. Mum laughed and tried to give me a hug. "Came to say goodbye?" she asked. I shook my head and yanked open the door, making little kissing noises as I searched. Finally, a tiny grey kitten popped her head up from under a piece of paper. She jumped to me with a little yowl, and I shoved her under my jumper. "I gotcha," I said. Mum frowned. "Miya, you can't bring Sofie with you," she warned. I glared at her angrily. "I can't leave her! Bye mum!" I said quickly, turning and running away from the parking lot again. My kitten mewed loudly from under my shirt. "Shh Sofie!" I said. "You have to stay quiet!" I looked around and hoped nobody would see her. I didn't even know if I could keep Sofie here, but there was no way I would ask, just in case she wasn't allowed to stay.
