I walked into the office of the new stables I was going to be staying at, with my arms crossed over my chest. My mum forced me to go in by myself, since it was going to be only me staying there. I glared out the door at her, and huffily stood at the edge of the desk. I could barely see over it!
I coughed loudly, trying to get someone's attention. I fiddled with the hem of my pale blue t-shirt, then scuffed my shiny new riding boots on the floor. My cream jodphurs were already smudged with dirt, thanks to my bossy pony shoving me with his nose.
I stood on tiptoe and glanced over the desk. "Hello?" I called out.

Alice walked into her office, and almost jumped. There was already a new boarder. She looked kind of young, and she looked a little mad. She was dirty already and Alice glanced out the door where the girl was looking, and saw the mom. Alice sighed and walked up to the girl. "Hello, i'm Alice. What are you here for? Boarding, lessons, a dorm..." Alice said trailing off. Even Alice was a little nervous, she had never done this before. She had always been the little nervous girl on the otherside of thes desk. Alice picked a piece of horse hair off her green and white polo. She was planning to ride after this, and maybe if the girl was up to it she could go ahead and give a lesson, or show her the trails or something.

I tried to give a sweet smile to the lady that came out. "Hi, I'm Miya," I said to her. "Um, um, me and my pony Henry are gonna come live here and do lessons together, if that's okay?" I asked. I grinned to myself on the inside; my mum would have yelled at me for not saying "Henry and I". I tried to stay balanced on my tiptoes, so I could look over the desk at the lady. "My mum's outside if you needa talk to her," I said.

I smiled at the girl again. 'Do you know what days you would like to have lessons?" I asked the girl. I took a dorm key off a huge shelf behind me. "Dorm number 2. And I don't need your mom, your perfectly capable of this on your own by the looks of it," I said with a grin. I kinda liked the little girl. She was... I don't know how to explain her, but she made an impression, especially for my first boarder.

I nodded to the lady. "On Mondays and Thursdays and Fridays," I told her. I remembered to use my manners a little bit: this lady didn't seem so bad. "Please," I added, smiling to her. I grinned at what she said. "Yep, I am!" I said to her, taking the key from her and making sure she could see me open up my little purse and put it inside so I wouldn't lose it. "Can Henry stay here too?" I asked her politely. I already knew that Henry was gonna be living here with me, but Mum had told me to ask about it anyway.

I nodded to the girl, and smiled when she added the please a little hesitantly. I noticed her putting the key in her purse, making sure it was within view of me. I smiled again. "Of course," I answered her question. I could already guess it was her horse. "Pick any empty stall in the boarder barn, which is the second stable to the right of here." I shuffled through some forms before I found the boarder forms and jotted down all the information, including her lesson times and dorm number. "Would you like me to help you get him settled?" I asked her. I couldn't wait to meet the new horse anyways.

I smiled to the lady and nodded again. "Okay," I said, happy that somebody would help me with Henry. He was really pushy sometimes, and he didn't like new places very much. It would show my mother too that I could do everything by myself without her help! "He's in the trailer outside," I smiled to the lady.

"Kay," I smiled and walked over to the door of the office and slipped on a jacket. It had grown chilly over the week, fall was moving in quick. The horses loved the fall though.
(Hey you can make a post in the boarder stables hahaha)

I grinned and followed the lady outside. I saw her put on a jacket, even though it wasn't that cold. I shrugged to myself and walked down to the trailer. My Mum had already got Henry out, and he was standing next to her with his ears pricked up. "That's Henry!" I grinned to the lady. His rug hid most of his body, but his pretty black head with a bright star was visible. I marched over to mum and took the lead rope from her. "I'm going to put Henry in his new stall now," I said to her. " And I have the key to my brand new room." I smirked over my shoulder at her and began to lead Henry towards the barn.
